The 2020 Frontiers in Particle Science and Technology (FPST), hosted by the AIChE Particle Technology Forum (PTF) is proud to announce a conference focused on particle design in product engineering. The 2020 FPST will bring together practitioners and researchers in the field of particle science and technology.
This innovative 2.5 day program will provide plenty of opportunity for attendees to learn about the latest in particle technology research as well as network with other professionals in the field.

Since 1985 the International Conference on Fluidized Bed Technology has been the forum for both the academia and industrial professionals to showcase the latest research and discoveries related to fluidized beds. The 13th Conference will be held at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver, Canada, hosted by the UBC Clean Energy Research Centre (CERC), UBC Fluidization Research Centre (FRC), GLAB Reactor and Fluidization Technologies Inc., and the UBC Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering. Conference proceedings will be published in a volume with ISBN number.

Material characterization is essential for deter-mining raw material and product quality, con-trolling manufacturing processes, and making accurate model predictions of process and product performance. Significant progress has been made in recent years toward developing on-line, at-line, and off-line techniques for measuring the characteristics of particulate materials and particle-based products. In ad-dition, modellers have been developing meth-ods for directly measuring or calibrating model input parameters.

NOTE: This conference is held every other year. The 2020 conference has been cancelled due to covid-19, and the series will pick up again in 2022. This is a description of the 2018 conference. The organizers (Nathalie Vriend at Cambridge, Xiang Chang at U. Minnesota) are hoping to increase industrial participation. They are hoping that IFPRI can provide suggestions for speakers and attendees. Attendance at GRCs is by invitation only.
