The aim of Powders & Grains 2025 is to share the recent advances in the broad research field of granular media and particulate suspensions. Contributions from experts around the world will cover a wide range of topics. Powders & Grains (www.powdersandgrains.org) is the premier international scientific conference held every four years in three different continents (Europe, America and Asia & Oceania) since 1989.

It is a great pleasure for me and my co-chair Massimo Poletto to announce that the 10th edition of the International Conference on Conveying and Handling of Particulate Solids (CHoPS) will take place in Salerno (Italy) on 5-9 July 2022. The Conference will be a chance to meet in person after a long time. We are looking forward to welcoming you in Salerno.
The conference in Salerno will be the right place to present works related to the following topics
• Mechanical conveying
• Pneumatic conveying system
• Silo design
• Mechanical behaviour of bulk materials

Multidimensional particle characterisation is of key importance for the understanding of complex multiphase products across all length scales from molecules to particles, complex materials and devices. Unifying principles for the comprehensive design of particulate products in particular include the characterisation of the particles along the five dimensions of size, shape, surface, structure and composition.
