2020 Annual General Meeting Materials
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, IFPRI's annual general meeting is virtual this year. We will hold the business meeting, members-only project discussion session, and the consultants comments session via Zoom. All other AGM sessions - strategic planning and poster sessions, technical and board meetings will not be held. We will not be considering new projects for funding, nor will be develop project and review briefs for next year. Instead, we are extending all projects in years 1-5 for one year, and we will defer new project selection from this year's proposals to the 2021 AGM. Projects in year 6 will end this year. In effect, we are taking a 1-year hiatus from updating the technical program. In this spirit, the 2021 and 2022 AGMs will be held at KU Leuven and Purdue University, respectively. Since we have no decisions to make, I will not write the annual briefing paper.
We asked our research associates to submit video presentations for your review. Since we have no poster session, we did not restrict them to 10-20 minutes. The video, written abstracts, and presentation slides can be accessed by clicking the links below. The abstracts and slides are downloadable, but the videos are not. I recommend that you click the "full screen" button in the video viewer to ease your eye strain!
Please review these presentations and send comments and questions to the appropriate project liaisons before June 15. Please address your comments to all of the liaisons for a particular project. The liaisons will consolidate the comments and send them to the research associates for their response. I will act as the liaison for the reviews. We'll discuss all of this in the project review meeting.
Please let me know if you have any trouble viewing the videos or downloading the abstracts and presentations. I'll attach compendium files for the slides and abstracts below when I receive them all.
