2023 AGM Meeting Materials Page

The 2023 IFPRI Annual General Meeing (AGM) runs from June 11-15 in Lafayette Indiana, near Purdue University. We will follow our ususal agenda, including real happy hours, the beer tasting and sporting event, and the banquet. The agenda is attached to the AGM registration page. The order of events is:
- June 11: Introduction, reviews, project presentations and posters
- June 12: Project presentations and posters, technical program review
- June 13: Plenary talks and new brief generation
- June 14: Discussion of proposals and new briefs, general poster session, banquet
- June 15: final program selection (dot voting)
We will "virtualize" as much of the agenda as practical to allow colleagues who are not able to travel to Indiana to participate in the meeting. The agenda lists which sessions will be accessible via Zoom.
The final Board of Directors meeting will be held as part of the regular monthly videoconference following the AGM.
Revised project and renewal proposals are attached at the bottom of this page. Rachel Smith and Arno Kwade did not receive feedback from liaisons and did not update their proposals from December. Jan Vermant did receive comments, however he felt they didn't require revising his proposal. Paul Mulerhan (Development of Pore Structure During Drying) tried to unsuccessfully to meet with the authors of the brief to discuss the comments he received from me and also opted to resubmit his original proposal.
Our research associates will provide a video presentation (limited to 20 minutes), their presentation slides, and a written abstract. Links to these materials will be added to this page as I receive them. Updated renewal and new project proposals have been added as attachments to this page, along with a "compendium" file that contains all of the briefs and proposals in a single file. I hope to collect everything by May 15 to give us all one month to prepare for the meeting. Please check back periodically to see what's been added.
The Briefing Notes describe in more detail how the AGM is organized and summarizes the current state of the technical program. Updated proposals for the project briefs we developed at the AGM in 2022 are attached below. For your convenience, I've created a compendium file that contains all of the proposals and the briefing paper so you can download everything in a single document.
Research and review briefs that we write at the meeting will be uploaded to the 2023 Annual General Meeting Technical Program Planning Page. Please use the Brief template and upload completed briefs as PDFs to this Google Drive or email them to me (ifpri.vp@gmail.com) before the banquet on Wednesday evening.
